Seismic Sounds at Paisley Museum & Art Gallery

Beneath and Beyond: Seismic Sounds at Paisley Museum & Art Gallery, Scotland, 2nd Feb-15th April 2018

(Artist’s Talk, 10th March, 2pm)

Beneath and Beyond: Seismic Sounds is a sound and video installation that allows us to experience the constant movements and tectonic shifts beneath the Earth’s surface in real time.

The artwork is connected to live data feeds from one-hundred seismic monitoring stations around the world which allows visitors to experience some of the dynamic events that are happening beneath their feet and beyond their human senses, deep within the Earth.

The unique software was produced in collaboration with computer programmer Robert Farrell.  The exhibition at Paisley Museum and Art Gallery continues until 15th April 2018.
